Good Evening,
I have taken on yet another venture and that is being an independent consultant for thirty one gifts. I love their produce and just recently was introduced to it. It makes being organized fun and sassy. If you would like to check out my site its: https://www.mythirtyone.com/307524/
Now onto other things. I am going to post this blog to an online forum of fellow bloggers. I hope someone will give it a chance and read it. I think it's rather interesting. Although I am a bit biased.
Movie news, I recently tried to watch The Perks of Being a Wallflower and I have to admit I was slightly disappointed. I know that the director was the novelist as well, but I felt like I just got tidbits of the novel via the movie. It just didn't flow for me, which is sad because I absolutely adore Emma Watson!! Oh and the book was amazing. However I did see a movie entitled Another Earth and it was quite good. It made me think about life out there in our solar system. If there is another me out there. It would be quite intriguing to see how that Mickey lives and what choices she made. All in all I definitely recommend it.
Books. I am currently reading Looking for Alaska, it's pretty good. I feel like I haven't given the book justice because every time I sit down to watch it, I am interrupted by something. But I have read the first thirty pages and it's pretty good. I know I"m going to get sucked in. I can't wait.
So this upcoming week is super busy. I have a meeting with my adviser, yes I am going back to school to improve my writing. Then I have a online meeting with my business, it's all about booking appointments and such. I also have another week of training at work, we are moving to anew system. I wonder how I am going to fit working out into all of this. Oh and doing the papers too. Yikes things are getting complicated. I must admit I like it though.
I hope all is well out there in cyber space.
Til' then folks.

Another Week Gone By....
So I thought I had written at least another blog, but I guess I didn't save it on my flash drive. I must say that I do adore my little blue guy, he's so cute. Okay so let me describe him for you . I think my girlfriend picked him up at Target for Christmas, but he's a flash drive that is shaped like a little blue creature with read overalls on. I love him so much and it works so much better then my other boring non-fun usb flash drives.
Other than than I have figured out a new schedule for the day and yes it's the craziest thing I have ever done. Okay so since I deliver papers my day starts at 1am in the morning. I usually finish about 3:30am and then I plan on working out and then getting ready for work. Then I am going to work on my novel editing I have 18 chapters that I have to double and it's due by June. It's 7:30am and I go to work till 4pm. And when i get home I wind down and head to bed by 5pm. This way my sleep is not so fragmented and i get at least 7 hours of um-interuppted sleep.
On the weekends I plan on throwing my endeavors in to a new business I am starting up. I'm so excited about it! I can't wait to get it off and running. I get my own website, supplies, ect. I'm super stoked. I will write more about this later.
Now before I forget I have read my first book of the year, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, LOVE IT!! Check it out, I am going to write a review at goodreads.com.
till then folks!
Catching Up Part 1
I wrote a few blogs this week at work and didn't get a chance to upload them to the computer since my work server doesn't allow Blogger to come up. You can read other blogs but it won't let you post anything. It's a bummer, but here we go....
Books Galore
I’m sure everyone knows about Goodreads.com, but if you don’t
let me enlighten you. It’s a website where you and all your facebook friends
can check in and keep an eye on what everyone’s reading. Now I haven’t visited
this site in like four months ( I tend to have trends of sites). But not they
have this awesome new addition called listopia, where you can create lists
and/or find new books to read. I must say I love love love this. Now I have
complete list of several hundred books to read. Only if I could manage to read
a book and knit, I have to finish a blanket by this weekend. It’s going to be a
small one. Then I have to find time to work out as well. I might as well start
jogging today. Hmm…should be interesting. I wonder if I can find a iphone 4
holder that I can latch on me somehow. Lol. Okay that’s all for now.
Til’ then folks.

Research and Popular Culture
Good Morning all,
I am writing this blog from work on one of my many
breaks. So I have a great idea for a
research analysis paper. I have been lulling over it for some time now. Let me give you some background information
about this. Since discovering the many joys of Sociology in college I
discovered how awesome popular culture is. And even did my senior seminar on
Comic book made moves and their portrayal of Modern Day Society as if adheres
to race, gender and sexuality. It was more of a quantitative study and was
based off of a list of a hundred questions that I used to answer when I watched
the said comic book made movies. I watched at least 25-30 films. All based off
of comic books. I tried to limit myself
to movies made in the last twenty years or so. I tried not to go back to the
1980’s. but it was eye opening to see how society is portrayed on film. And
since then it’s been a hidden passion of mine.
So that brings me to my next endeavor. I am cross examining
teen sitcoms. Ugghh..sounds boring, expect it’s not. When I grew up the only
show around about teenagers was Dawson’s Creek. I remember piling in front of
the television with my friends and watching the drama unfold in the fictional
characters lives. They lived in a small town on the East Cost and then later
moved to a bigger city when they went to college. But I started watching them
when they were sophomores in high school and followed them until they were
adults.
So that brings me to what followed…well in truth it was
probably One Tree Hill or the new 90120, but I am going to focus on Gossip Girl
and cross examine it with Dawson’s Creek. Thanks to Netflix I now have both
sitcoms at my finger tips. Next I am
going to cross examine the supernatural sitcoms.
What do you think? I’m sure it’s all been done before, but I
want to see what I can’t find out. Wish me luck.

Gossip...what???
So I have fallen victim to Netflix and it vast library of sitcoms. So I started watching with Dawson's Creek and watched all but one season. I just couldn't get into them going to college and all the drama that ensued. I think because the writers changed or something It was like the same thing over and over again. Or it could have been not enough people weren't involved.
There was just something missing, maybe it was number of main characters. There were four, Joey, the cute, smart, girl next-door: Pacey, the attractive bad boy, Dawson's, the guy next door who always does the good thing and Jen, the bad girl from the big city. it wasn't enough to keep the story alive. Even though the numbers were staggering in the form of viewers, I was one of the many people to press fast forward and get to the part where Jen dies leaving her best gay friend her child.
But with the new Dawson's Creek aka Gossip Girl is addicting. At least to me. Maybe it's because I don't have anything to do on a Saturday night, but watch television and do laundry. Okay so after viewing four seasons I'm still watching it. It's got the drama, action, sex appeal, and characters that act out on their ambitions most people have but are afraid to admit. The one thing I love about the show is that none of the character have a New York accent. But yet they are born and breed there. It's kind of like when they made that movie The Avatar and all the characters are Asian in the cartoon but American in the movie. It made the move cheap and rushed.
Needless to say Gossip Girl got something right in that they writing has so many twist and turns that you don't see coming. They reel you in and you wind up spending hours in front of the boob tube.
Okay that's all for now folks. I'll write more later.

Late Nights
This blogs is focused primarily on my obsession with
Showtimes hit show Californication. I love this show and cannot get enough of
hank moody!!! I guess this stems from my desire to be a writer and the fact
that I love women just as much as he does. I get everything but the drugs and
alcohol that are portrayed in the series. I don’t do drugs and I rarely do
alcohol. I guess I can officially say I LOVE my life whereas Hank Moody hates
his.
The show points out the main idea that writers need to be
inspired to produce anything meaningful. This shit doesn’t happen on its own.
For me I’m inspired everyday. Like yesterday a young girl and boy came to my
door selling books on religion. I for one was inspired to write a story after
they left, but did I, no unfortunately I skipped the opportunity.
I love the sexiness, rawness, and realness of the show of a
guy whose making money doing nothing. Love it!
Another aspect about the show that I really like is how
frugal Hank is. He know what he likes and intends on keeping it. Like his beat
up convertible, I think one of the rear view mirrors falls off but he still keeps
driving it. His apartment. He just has a place that’s somewhat decorated (I’m
sure not by him). But he doesn’t over do it. He doesn’t care about material things,
unless it’s his car. It’s just nice to see someone not focused on being rich
and rubbing it in other peoples faces.
I need to be more frugal.
Okay here’s the fun part, now onto my writing! I know your
all excited. I am doing yet another rewrite on my novel Jaded Proposal, how cool is that. Okay I know I just put the first letter down,
but that’s to protect myself in case the book is a New York Times best seller.
Yeah…uh…not in this lifetime, but I still hold onto my dream!! Not everything is about vampires. Sheesh!
I am taking a break from the elements and focusing on my
writing. I like to be in your face and real in my stories. What does that mean?
It means I like to air the dirty laundry of society through my writing. I guess
I should have been a journalist, I like fiction better. I like to believe that
creepy shit in my writing doesn’t really happen even though I know it does.
So my gf nephew is staying with us and today I plan on
sticking it to him like a bug on a drop of honey. Get a job or
get tout!! It’s that simple!
Okay enough ranting for now. I’ll see you folks tomorrow!!!
Pic of the day!!

PItch Perfect Review....and other
Time to dive into the world of music, movies, and celebrities.
Okay not that deep, just a few reviews on a few films I have
seen.
Pitch Perfect
Let me just start by saying REBEL rocks. She made this move.
Although it was nice to hear the musical talents of the lovely Anna Kendrick. I
honestly didn’t know she could sing. Then I went to my favorite site, IMBD.com
and found out that she was in that 1990’s
show CAMP. After I found that out I had to watch that movie again.
HILARIOUS!
Flash forward to TWILIGHT, and she was one of Bella’s friends,
but honestly I don’t think she fit the part. None of the characters did. Now
they did grow into their characters, being that they had what five years to do
so and what four movies.
Okay I’m getting off topic. Pitch Perfect was much more
interesting then GLEE, but that’s opinion. I enjoy Glee and love that actors
are singing more and more. Look at all the A listers in the move Les
Miserables, which I still haven’t found someone to go see it with me.
But movies are becoming more like theatre, so it’s like it’s
going back to where it was when the movies were first introduced. Hey I
wouldn’t mind a new Gene Kelly or Fred Astaire, but let’s face it. Guys these
days can’t cut it. Unless Michael Buble’ started acting along with John Mayer.
But we don’t want to do that. Look at JT who crossed the barrier into the
acting scene and I’m sorry to say, he tanked. I haven’t seen one movie I like
that he’s in. Maybe I’m just biased, yeah that’s probably it.
So back to Pitch Perfect, I enjoyed the story a lot and I like
the ad lib by REBEL, just saying. Oh I love the music mixes that are thrown
together. They really work. Great Job Producers/directors/ most importantly the
Writers.
Music. Let’s talk about the new stuff out these days. I’m
loving Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Pink, and Kelly Clarkson. They are conquering
the charts right now, but I kinda feel bad for Mr. Mars. He’s getting crapped
on at the awards. He had better win a Grammy this year!! I’m rooting for you.
So that’s all for now.
